4 November 2025 - Melbourne Cup
On 4 November 2025, the GPG Lawyers’ Team took a short break from the office to attend the 2025 Melbourne Cup at the QT Hotel. We believe it is important to balance hard work and our dedication to our clients with a break now and then to acknowledge the hard work our staff put in and to spend some time together away from the office building our team morale and the Melbourne Cup was the perfect opportunity to do this.
22 October 2025 – 2025 Annual Wills and Estates Conference
At GPG Lawyers, we are always honing our skills and regularly engage in continuing professional development so that we can continue to offer our clients up-to-date legal advice.
On 22 October, Alicia attended the ACT Law Society’s Annual Wills & Estates Conference hearing from the likes of Dr Kuhl from More than Medicine on Capacity, the Hon Philip Hallen SC on succession litigation and an array of other reputable local and interstate speakers on ethics, superannuation and succession law.
Alicia has been attending this annual conference for almost ten (10) years and finds it to be an excellent professional opportunity not only for professional growth and learning, but also for catching up and networking with her Wills and Estates colleagues from both the legal and wider estate-planning industry including those in the medical and financial spheres.
18 October 2025 – Uni-North Owls JRUC Annual Presentation Day
GPG has been proud to sponsor the Uni-Norths Juniors Rugby Union Club once again in 2025. On 18 October 2025, Alicia who is also the current Secretary of the Uni-Norths Owls JRUC, presented the GPG Lawyers Spirit of Rugby Awards to four deserving recipients. The Spirit of Rugby Awards acknowledged those players or members of the wider Owls community who had demonstrated the Club's iSHARE values or made standout contributions either on or off the field during the 2025 season. Congratulations to the recipients!

6 September 2025 – Queanbeyan Tigers Reserve Grade Tigrettes win 2025 Grand Final
With our own Mark Gibbs being a Queanbeyan local, it is no surprise that GPG is a proud sponsor of the Queanbeyan Tigers. We congratulate the Women’s Reserve Grade on their 2025 premiership!
9 July 2025 – Renovations
Our office has been undergoing some renovations recently, converting what was previously an open plan office into separate offices and the creation of our new reception space. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at Rentoule Projects for their attention to detail and execution in creating our new spaces which have been beautifully finished with our new signage and frosting by the team at Proart Signage.
5 July 2025 – Uni-North Owls Sydney Tour supported by GPG Lawyers
The U15s and U16s Uni-North Owls JRUC teams headed off to Sydney for the Club’s first domestic tour in some time. GPG Lawyers was proud to contribute to their tour and hope they have a fabulous and fruitful weekend of rugby coming up against Hunters Hill JRUC and Buraneer JRUC.

Can you believe it's been four years since we first opened the doors to GPG Lawyers!
Running any small business is not without its challenges, but it has been so rewarding to build this firm from the ground up.
We take this opportunity to thank our staff and colleagues, but most importantly, our clients who have trusted us with their legal matters during what are often the most difficult times of their lives.
Thank you also to all those who have referred our services over the last four years. We look forward to being of service to many more clients in the future.
The directors and their partners celebrated with dinner at The Chairman & Yip in Barton and had a lovely evening reflecting on the past 4 years.
2 May 2025 -Karinya House Home. Hope. Horizon. Charity Luncheon 2025
Alicia, Mark and Drea had a lovely afternoon at the Karinya House Home. Hope. Horizon. Luncheon supporting the women who walk alongside those who are pregnant or parenting a baby, many who have experienced family violence or who have no other support system. Karinya House offers a beacon of hope and ensures these women are never alone in their journey.

25 October 2024 – Shitbox Rally
GPG Lawyers is proud to sponsor the ‘Fungi n Furious’ van in the 2024 Shitbox Rally. Adam and Ashley crossed the line in Townsville today and have raised important funds for the Cancer Council.
Andrea's husband, Adam and his mate Ashley headed off earlier in the week with hundreds of others in an effort to raise funds for a cancer-free future.
We have all been touched in one way or another by Cancer and this is an excellent initiative to continue to support those efforts.

18 April 2024 – We have moved!
GPG has moved offices. Same great location on Level 7, 15 London Circuit and right next door to our previous premises, just with a bit more space for us to grow.

Mark headed out tonight for the first of the Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Football Club preseason matches, the McDonald’s AFLW Cup and to check out our new signage at the grounds.

What a jam-packed year we have had advising and advocating for our valued clients. Today we took some time out to reflect on the year that has been and celebrate with our Christmas Party at Louis Dining with the celebrations continuing at Leyla Bar. Our team has had a great afternoon.
9 December 2023 – Directors’ Planning Weekend
This weekend, the Directors are taking some time out at Bowral to plan for the year ahead so we can continue to provide high quality services and advice to our clients.
We were also joined by our partners for golf, dinner at Milton House and an afternoon of wine tasting at Centennial Winery. It was a nice way to acknowledge and thank our partners who support us in the work we do which often involves long hours so that we can give our clients the service they deserve.

9 May 2023 – Law Week Dinner hosted by the Women Lawyers Association of the ACT
What a great catching up with colleagues and friends at the Law Week dinner hosted by the Women Lawyers Association of the Australian Capital Territory at Boathouse Restaurant Canberra.
It was inspiring to hear Diana Sayed, CEO of the Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights speak about her experiences as an international human rights lawyer; former Campaigns Manager at Fair Agenda; and Senior Crisis Response campaigner at Amnesty International Australia.
Diana also shared part of her story and leadership role in the #ActionforAfghanistan campaign wherein she advocated for an increased humanitarian intake, pathways for permanent protection for those in Australia on temporary status and safety to be afforded to those from religious and ethnic minorities, as well as women, children and LGBTQI+ people.

Wills and Powers of Attorney are often one of those things people put off for "another day" or "one day". Accidents and illness happen. Sometimes they unfortunately happen before you get around to making or updating these important documents.

15 June 2022 – Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The elderly are often a vulnerable target for financial, physical and emotional abuse and neglect. Sadly, we are seeing more cases in this space.
In 2020, the ACT was the first Australian jurisdiction to criminalise elder abuse including harm, neglect and financial abuse.
If you or an elderly person you know or love is being mistreated or requires assistance in relation to Enduring Powers of Attorney or the appointment or removal of an attorney, guardian or financial manager, we are here to help.
